

Trevor Robinson

Trevor is a native of the North East, although he spend his formative years in Kent. He studied Physics at Leicester University, and after graduation he became a public sector account, working mainly in local government, ending with the greater London Authority. He ended his career with Centro (the West Midlands version of Newcastle’s Nexus) and retired in 2007. Since then, he has had various non-executive roles, including with the NHS, and has been a Trustee of KOAS since 2017, acting as treasurer from 2018.
Trevor has had a lifelong interest in astronomy and spaceflight and took a degree in Astrophysics with the Open University, graduating in 2017. He has occasionally given presentations at the Observatory, marking significant anniversaries of the Apollo Moon landings.
He enjoys music, especially Pink Floyd, Yes and Miles Davis (all of whom he has seen live) and his favourite movie is Close Encounters of the Third Kind. He also likes reading science fiction and is a big fan of Iain M Banks.
