10 years ago, Gary Fildes our Founder, CEO and lead astronomer opened the Observatory.

Since then he has steered the facility to strive to become the UK's number one Dark Sky public observatory. Join Gary for this special event tonight as he relives the journey and then guides you through the wonders of the universe.

Utilising the new state of the art Gillian Dickinson astroimaging observatory as well as our array of instruments Gary and his team will give you an in depth tour of astronomy. If the skies are clear we will be making fascinating observations through the facility's telescopes to take advantage of the beautiful dark skies of Kielder.

A hot drink will be served during the event which is included in the ticket price.
