Jewels of the Universe at Twice Brewed Inn

This event takes place at Twice Brewed Inn, not Kielder Observatory. Twice Brewed Inn is located near Bardon Mill, Northumberland, NE47 7AN.

As part of a new partnership, we will be running some astronomy events at the brilliant Twice Brewed Inn. Located within the Dark Sky Park with brilliant observing opportunities, these events are new to our calendar for 2025. Our Kielder Observatory astronomers will be onsite to give talks and guided stargazing sessions, using the telescopes onsite and working closely with the Twice Brewed team. There is a planetarium onsite and even better you can grab a drink from the bar while waiting for your event to start!

The event will include the talk themed on "The Jewels of the Universe" and our team will go through their favourite deep space imagery of objects far beyond the solar system and what modern science understands of these strange and beautiful sights.

During the evening you will be treated to a hot drink of either tea, coffee or our famous hot chocolate. Although star-gazing is the priority on all our events, our aim is to deliver a fantastic experience whatever the weather with the help of our team of experienced and passionate astronomers.
