Event Location

After the increase in awareness amongst the public for all things astronomical, it's apparent that stargazing at home is on the rise.  However, it can be daunting... Telescope or binoculars?  What is a star?  What is a light year?  How do I use star charts?  There's so much to consider, so where do you start?

Well fear not, our experienced team of astronomers are here to help get you started with the basics.  Suitable for all ages these events are designed to inspire with interactive learning experiences including introduction to the usage of telescopes, why we use them, how they work and a little of the history of discoveries thanks to these instruments.

We'll introduce you to constellations, what they mean, how we use them and discover the best time of year to see celestial objects.  You will also see and touch pieces of rock from the very formation of our solar system and other worlds beyond our own.

Using our state of the art facilities we will set you all on a journey of discovery as well as information guides to take away with you.

If it's clear we will use our telescopes to observe the sky and if not, we have the technology to bring it all alive.

Finally, at the end of the event you will have time to grab a drink and peruse our gift shop, wander around the facilites and grab a selfie and ask any questions from our team of astronomers.
