Kielder Observatory Astronomical Society was formed in 2007 by a group of enthusiastic amateur astronomers based around the Kielder Observatory in Kielder Forest. Our club’s emphasis is to promote interest in the science of astronomy in the general public. The Society adopted its constitution in February 2008 and was registered as a Charity with the Charities Commission on 29^th May 2009.The society runs a programme of events throughout the year. You can find out more these from the Calendar pages on the website.Membership fees are:-      

• £15 for adults-   
• £10 for concessions (e.g. unemployed, students, pensioners)
• £25 for family membership of 2 adults and up to 3 children

Membership fees are due annually on 1^st October. However those joining for the first time between 1^st April and 30^th September will not be due to renew their membership until 1^st October the following year.You can either use  Paypal to join or renew on-line or you can join by completing the Membership form below and sending it together with a cheque for the appropriate amount made payable to Kielder Observatory Astronomical Society to:
