The 8th Kielder Forest Star Camp will be staged over five nights from 6 to 11 October in the spectacular Border countryside between England and Scotland.

Kielder Forest Star Camp is organised by the Kielder Observatory Astronomical Society during the autumn and the Sunderland Astronomical Society in the spring.

Both events offer five night's under what the CPRE say is the darkest sky in England. Veterans and novices are welcome to attend and all you need to do is follow our red light rules and enjoy a unique experience in the last great wilderness of England.

These events don't offer any formal instruction for beginners, but many observers are happy to share their views with others. Explore this website to find out more! And remember, places are limited so book early for both events.

We hope to see you under Kielder’s dark sky!
